Ingredients

  • 1 pound rotisserie chicken, shredded

  • 16 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package directions

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 3 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour over the onion and garlic, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
  • In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, cooked noodles, lemon juice, dill, and the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
